In accordance to the consensus that was reached by the Steering Committee on 2nd February, 2009, the Seventh Ordinary OAFLA General Assembly will be preceded by a Special Technical Advisors’ Meeting, which will involve the finalization of the OAFLA Strategic Plan -adopted during the Extraordinary General Assembly in February, 2009 - and the development of a Common Plan of Action.

Technical Advisors representing Steering Committee member countries will take part in developing a Plan of Action for the Strategic Plan. The common Plan of Action will outline major objectives, indicators, deliverables and outcomes with a timeline that will help OAFLA member states monitor their achievements. 

This Special TA Meeting will take place in Sirte, Libya, five days before the official opening of the Seventh Ordinary General Assembly.
