The Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) will, from 1st to 3rd July, 2009, hold its Seventh Ordinary General Assembly in Sirte, Libya alongside the 13th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
The Meeting is expected to bring together African First Ladies and representatives from all OAFLA member countries.
The Seventh OAFLA General Assembly will be marked by three customary meetings, which will deliberate on the following agenda: - The Adoption of a common Plan of Action for all five OAFLA sub-regions; and
- Mechanisms for resource mobilization for OAFLA Chapters to achieve the Plan of Action.
- Presentations on OAFLA sub-regional activities.
The Seventh Ordinary OAFLA General Assembly will be preceded by a Special Technical Advisors’ Meeting, which is scheduled to take place five days prior to the official opening of the Ordinary General Assembly.
